SNV HUB Well-Received at 2025 Nevada Public Health Association Conference
Southern Nevada Pathways Community HUB (SNV HUB) Director Kandrea Higgins and Nicole Taylor, Quality Improvement Advisor, earned third place out of 35 breakout sessions* at the 2025 Nevada Public Health Association Conference.
Their session, Community Collaboration and Research Landscape—Innovations in Maternal Health, Our SilverSummit Journey, highlighted the 2023 Southern Nevada Pathways Community HUB Pilot.
In partnership with Dignity Health, the SNV HUB implemented an evidence-based Pathways Community HUB Institute® community health worker-driven model to screen for health-related social needs and provide navigation support for 92 pregnant people in Las Vegas.
The results? Fewer preterm births and reduced rates of low birth weight among participants—powerful outcomes showing what’s possible through innovative, community-rooted collaboration.
*The Nevada Public Health Association placed two judges at each breakout session who used a rubric to score the presentations. Awards were given to those with the highest scores.
