Progress Highlights of the Integrated Maternal Health Services Program

A Year 1 update on the Southern Nevada Integrated Maternal Health Services initiative shows significant progress has been made in implementing a centralized “no wrong door” approach to prenatal services.

Comagine Health, in partnership with Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at the University of Nevada at UNLV Department of Gynecologic Surgery & Obstetrics, UNLV School of Public Health and several other Southern Nevada partners provided the update. The initiative is designed to improve maternal morbidity and mortality in Clark County, Nevada.

According to the report, the partners have focused on creating a comprehensive and culturally responsive program that addresses existing care gaps and promotes early entry into prenatal care for pregnant individuals in the community.

The collaboration aims to improve access to prenatal care by developing and testing a Maternity Medical Home model and establishing streamlined coordination with the Southern Nevada Pathways Community HUB.
